Since the beginning of the 19th century Aptitude tests have been used for the recruitment of management-level employees for demanding appointments in different government and non-government sectors. In due course of time, the system proved its credentials with two components Basic Intelligence Rating and Psychometric test. These days Aptitude-based recruitment systems are becoming popular globally, this type of assessment measures candidates’ mental capabilities, intelligence levels, attitudes, traits, decision-making ability, and other skills. It is a system, which determines a candidate’s overall Aptitude and Attitude.

APTITUDE TEST IN BRAC BANK PLC, CITY BANK PLC
The academy was invited for the recruitment of Management Trainees under the Future Leaders program for BRAC Bank for the year 2021(YLP-2021), year 2023(YLP-2023), and Year 2024(YLP-2024). The aim was to recruit suitable management-level employees for employment at BRAC Bank. Academy conducted psychometric tests for more than 3000 candidates and assessment was done on specific competency profiles. Later the result of the test and report on the profiling interviews were submitted to BRAC bank for final selection. The experience from the selected group of YLP-2021 and YLP-2023 suggests that this aptitude-based recruitment system is very effective in retaining their selected employees. In pursuance of the modern aptitude-based recruitment system, BRAC Bank has agreed with the Academy to conduct the test in the subsequent three years.
The City Bank PLC has also shown keen interest and offered to conduct the recruitment for the Management Trainee Officer( MTO) for the year 2024. The discussion is finalized and the proposal is submitted to the Bank to start the assessment in the month of August 2024v
PSYCHOMETRIC TEST IN AIRLINES
The academy was also invited to conduct psychometric tests in all private airliners; Novo Air, US- Bangla, and Air Astra for recruitment of pilots, engineers, and cabin crew since 2017. The aptitude test was conducted under the IATA guideline 2019. Presently all the reputed airlines are following the IATA guided pilot recruitment system. Initially, the assessment was only for pilots, later AME and cabin crew recruitment were also included. These organizations found the test very effective apart from candidates’ professional qualifications and had a good impact on their recruitment system.
